The course is designed to introduce the technical, legal and commercial aspects of Information Security. It is intended as a foundation for a professional career, as well as for postgraduate research, in Information Security. The Information Security Group (ISG) at Royal Holloway is an interdisciplinary research group comprised of computer scientists and mathematicians. The group offers an active research environment with over ten established academic posts and a large number of research students, making it one of the largest academic security groups in the world. The group regularly hosts international visitors and has strong research links with a number of industrial and government institutions. A recent initiative has been the formation of the Smart Card Centre by Giesecke and Devrient, Vodafone and Royal Holloway. University of Portsmouth MSc in Strategic Business Information Technology - Online eLearning

This online MSc is not biased towards any specific product or business need but merges practical, real world problems with theoretical business models and best examples of work practice. University of London LSE BSc Degrees in Economics, Management, Finance and the Social Sciences. By Distance Learning with optional books and local tutor support.

The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) offer 12 BSc Degree programmes in Economics, Management, Finance and the Social Sciences. Candidates who do not satisfy the normal degree entrance requirements, may join through the Access Route which requires successful completion of two study units from a stipulated list, to demonstrate ability to study at BSc level.

Occasional students have the option of studying additional units but they cannot be transferred to graduate with a degree qualification.

University of Portsmouth BSc (Hons) in Computing - Online eLearning  

Candidates holding an Advanced or Higher Diploma in an IT subject have the opportunity to enter directly onto the final year of this online BSc programme covering systems development, distributed networks, information management, database design, object-oriented programming, e-commerce and human computer interaction.

A short bridging course involving software engineering, C programming and systems analysis & design is available for those with a non-IT qualification who do not qualify for direct entry onto the final year of the BSc.

NCC Education – The National Computing Centre  - By online eLearning 

The online programmes in IT and Computer Studies available through NCC provide a progressive ladder of courses from Certificate level through Diploma and Advanced Diploma as stand alone accredited qualifications, or in preparation for entry onto the final year of the University of Portsmouth BSc in Computing. Students can step onto the ladder at the level which best suits their ability and can study online at their own pace for a fraction of the cost of the same full-time programme in the UK.

Subjects range from fundamental concepts of computing through database design, systems development, structured programming, networking, business systems analysis and design, to development of web sites and e-commerce.
