John is a qualified and very experienced professional security consultant, internationally recognized in the loss prevention sector. Initially trained and qualified in electrical engineering his career commenced in fire and gas detection and alarm systems engineering on oil production platforms in the North Sea and later developed into surveillance and personnel tracking systems. This practical and theoretical base enabled him to move on to major security and loss prevention projects.

John is now globally recognized as an expert at solving complex security problems with extremely cost effective solutions and delivering them on time within budget. As an accomplished specialist in physical security he was recruited by British Aerospace to head the security design and project management team on the largest Military air base in the world. More recent projects have been solving security problems for a major Middle East telecommunications provider, transportation and cargo security in the USA, and 14 sites across Europe for an Internet collocation services provider.

He has written many detailed risk assessments for organizations subjected to threats of terrorism, sabotage, subversion and vandalism, conducted numerous security audits and written and implemented security policies following these audits.

In 1992 he completed a Postgraduate in Security Management.
